CAMERA SETTINGS WHILST RECORDING FOOTAGE

CAMERA SETTINGS WHILST RECORDING FOOTAGE

1st point: A manual setting was used for the camera since it would
be more realistic to have a manual zoom as opposed to the default
setting for a “film noir” theme  as well as a more professional style
of capturing the film. The Aperture for this shot was most likely f2.8 to expose the dark image properly.
Whilst the shutter speed was the usual 1/50 with a cinematic framerate of 24 fps. Due to the lighting
being dark the ISO had to be 6000 for better exposure without the final image becoming grainy.

Depth of field is wide in the entire lighting scene. This may have
been intended to be seen multiple time for the detail. Despite
depth of field & focus bend already in use by the time most
“films noir” were being created, the silent film style was still
used where DoF was rarely seen.

Natural light was used in the making of “N W A A R” with added
VFX with the editing software. In the lighting example it was
two-point low-key lighting with LED panels used because of their
portability and low maintenance, that was featured with most of
the camera settings  the default apart from the
manual controls.
